Pamela Paddles has one job at The Duck Pond: make sure everybody gets in the water, has a good time, and comes back out in one piece. Preferably with their goggles, floaties, and dignity still intact.

She is the unofficial queen of pool bags, sunscreen, towels, water bottles, and shouting reminders across the pond that everyone somehow pretends they didn’t hear the first three times.

​

Pamela believes swimming should be fun, but she also believes in rules. No running near the water. No pushing. No diving where you shouldn’t. And absolutely no pretending you “forgot” your goggles when she knows perfectly well they’re sitting at the bottom of your bag.

​

Her mission is to keep every little swimmer moving, laughing, learning, and staying safe while she somehow manages to keep track of everything happening around her at once.

​

Because when Pamela Paddles is on duty, one thing is certain:

The fun may get wild, but Swim Mom has it handled. 🦆💦

Pamela Paddles was practically raised at the water’s edge. Long before everyone around The Duck Pond knew her as Pamela Paddles, she was the duck who always showed up prepared — extra towels, spare goggles, snacks, sunscreen, water bottles, and somehow exactly the thing somebody forgot five minutes earlier.

She loved the water, but what she loved even more was helping other little swimmers feel comfortable in it. Nervous first-timers, overconfident splashers, stubborn floatie-refusers — Pamela had seen them all, and she learned pretty quickly that every swimmer needed something different. Sometimes it was encouragement. Sometimes it was patience. Sometimes it was a firm, unmistakable “Absolutely not.”

Her reputation really began after one especially chaotic afternoon when several young ducks decided to turn a normal swim into a full-blown pond race. Goggles disappeared, floaties drifted off, somebody lost a sandal, and one duck somehow ended up wearing a towel like a cape.

​

Pamela handled every bit of it without missing a beat.
 

By the end of the day, everyone was safe, accounted for, fed, dried off, and exhausted — while Pamela was already repacking the swim bag for next time.

​

Word spread quickly around The Duck Pond. If there was swimming involved, Pamela Paddles was the one you wanted nearby.

​

Before long, her name became practically synonymous with keeping the swimmers safe, organized, and having fun.

​

And to this day, whenever someone hears Pamela call out, “Did you bring your goggles?” every duck within earshot immediately checks their bag. 🦆💦
